Creative Team

Edit:Undo is a student-written musical. To write it, The Cappies selected a creative team of nine students—three composers, three lyricists, and three book writers—from high schools in Virginia and Maryland. Their members include:

The Creative Team was selected in October 2005 and given the task of writing a musical comedy about high school and technology. They completed the storyboard in December. The book writers completed an initial script by the end of January. Lyricists did much of their work in February and March, composers in March and April. Through May and June, the book, lyrics, and score were revised on numerous occasions. The title was selected in May.

The Cappies hosted three script readings: a nonmusical reading (by students at WT Woodson High School) in February, a second nonmusical reading (by students from throughout the National Capital Area) in March, and a musical reading (by students from Glenelg Country School and River Hill School of Baltimore Cappies) in May. Following each reading, the script and score were substantially revised.
The creative process has been advised and edited by playwright and Cappies co-founder William Strauss, and their musical compositions were assisted by Brant Challacombe, musical director for Baltimore Cappies. The director team will be the following:
